New York IABC

Welcome to NY/IABC

The New York Chapter of IABC is a vigorous organization as dynamic as the city itself. Members come together from a wide variety of industries and communication disciplines to share their expertise with one another through a broad range of activities. As the business communications environment evolves, members find more and more value in NY/IABC.

NY/IABC serves about 400 professional communicators who live and work in New York City and the surrounding areas. Some of our suburban members hold dual memberships—in the New York City chapter as well as in the New Jersey, Long Island, or WestFair chapter.

NY/IABC was founded in 1972. Since that time the nature of its membership has evolved. While the majority of chapter members are employed in corporate communications, we also have increasing member representation from public relations and marketing agencies. A growing number of chapter members are also self-employed, typically serving as suppliers of services to the corporate market.
